H I S T O R I C    S A U D E R    V I L L A G E

Have fun in the past at Ohio's largest living-history village, Destination of Choice in Northwest Ohio! In the Historic Village your group will visit at their leisure with the costumed guides and working craftsmen in nearly 40 historic homes and shops. We can also customize your tour with a special workshop, lecture or guided tour... ask for details! We hope you will also include time in your trip for a home-cooked meal at the Barn Restaurant.

What to Expect... Allow 3 – 4 hours to visit in the Historic Village. There are plenty of shopping opportunities in our craft and retail shops. With large restroom, paved walks and plenty of benches throughout, the living-history village is very group friendly.

Group Admission Rates...
20 or more with advance reservations (payable in one lump sum),
^$9.00 for Adults (or ^$7.50 if group dines at the Barn Restaurant) and
^$5.00 for ages 6-16.
NOTE... No other coupons or discounts apply.

Tuesday  –  Saturday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday, 12:00 – 4:00 PM
Closed Mondays (except holidays)
NOTE... Before Memorial Day and After Labor Day, the Historic Village closes at 3:30 PM Tuesday – Friday.

Admission Stickers / Badges... Admission stickers are provided for group members who do not have identification badges. The sticker allows unlimited entry for the entire day.

Group Drivers... of a motorcoach or bus are always our guests. Enjoy a complimentary tour or relax in the lobby of the Sauder Heritage Inn.

Smoking Policy... Smoking is NOT PERMITTED within the Historic Village. Sauder Village is a smoke-free complex.

Join us for a delicious home-cooked meal or just a piece of pie at the Barn Restaurant... a favorite stop for group tours from across the country!

What to Expect... Our restaurant, open year round, is noted for homemade foods from the menu or buffet and it all happens under giant timbers hewn a century ago! Our attentive wait staff will ensure your meal with us is one to remember.

Barn Hours...
Monday – Saturday, 11:00AM – 8:00 PM
Sunday, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Group Policy... Escort is requested to call prior to arrival to confirm count and reconfirm time. No individual checks accepted. No other coupons or discounts are valid on group meal rates.

Eat as a Group... Save ^$1.50 per person on adult admission when visiting the Historic Village if also dining at the Barn Restaurant as a group.

Eat on Own... We will put your names on the list of those waiting to be seated. Please note, if this is your choice, there will be no complimentary meals for your escort and delays are possible.

Tardy Policy... We will hold your group's dining seats 15 minutes. After that time, if needed, your seats will be used and your group will be seated at the next available opening.

Smoking Policy... Smoking is NOT PERMITTED in the Barn Restaurant.

What to Expect... Get away from it all... enjoy a fun-filled, yet relaxing stay at our newly expanded Sauder Heritage Inn! Our warm hospitality will welcome you as you enter the spacious, timber-frame lobby. Throughout the Inn, the beautiful fireplace, atriums with live plants, comfortable furniture, natural wood timbers and hand-forged lamps and railings set the casual, friendly tone. The new indoor pool with waterfall, hot tub, game and exercise rooms adjacent to the "Great Oak Tree" provide even more options for a memorable get-away! We have included all the amenities of a large hotel with the ambiance of a country inn to offer you the ideal place to stay in northwest Ohio. We look forward to having you as our guest. We can create a complete package for your stay with all charges posted to one bill.

• 98 Guest Rooms... A combination of queen/queen, king rooms and suites. All rooms have a small refrigerator and many have a small recliner or couch. Free, high-speed internet access is available.
• NEW! Indoor Pool & "Great Oak Tree"... The pool area has a natural look with seating around the edge, a waterfall and hot tub. Adjacent to the pool, the 25 foot tall "Great Oak Tree" is an ideal gathering place for guests to visit, relax, play a game or read a good book.
• Free Upscale Continental Breakfast... Enjoy a bountiful continental breakfast including rolls, muffins, bagels and cookies from our Doughbox Bakery. With fruit, cereal, oatmeal, juices and coffee also available, breakfast under the "Great Oak Tree" is a great way to start your day.
• Gathering Spaces... From the fireplace in the timber-frame lobby to the mezzanine overlooking the "Great Oak Tree"... there are plenty of places to gather with friends or relax with a good book.
• Meeting Rooms... There are many sizes of meeting rooms available for rent.

Inn Group Rates (minimum of 10 rooms booked and used)...

In-Season rates (May 1 – Oct 28) start at ^$74.00 plus tax, per room. Off-Season rates (Oct. 29 – Apr. 30) start at ^$70.00 plus tax, per room. Each additional adult is $10.00, with a maximum of 4 adults per room.

Deposit / Cancellations... 100% of room charge for 1 night and rooming list is required 30 days before arrival. Non refundable within 10 days of arrival.

Baggage Assistance... When requested in advance, limited baggage assistance is available for $1.00 per person.

From Columbus area... 23 north to 15 to I-75. Exit US 6 west to and through Napoleon as though going on to Chicago. St. Rt. 66 north through Archbold. Right on State Route 2.

From Chicago and points west... I-80/90 east to Ohio Turnpike Exit 25. Left (south) on St. Rt. 66 for 4 miles. Left on State Route 2.

From Fort Wayne area... I-69 to Route 6 east. Route 6 to St. Rt. 66 north. St. Rt. 66 through Archbold to State Route 2; turn right.

From Michigan 23 or 75... South to Toledo to Exit 8B Airport Highway (OH Rt. 2) west. At airport, enter turnpike (I-80/90) westbound to exit 25. Left (south) on St. Rt. 66 for 4 miles. Left on State Route 2. (Follow signs to Sauder Village.)

From Jackson, Michigan area...  South on 127 to Ohio 20. Left on 20 to St. Rt. 66. Right on 66 to State Route 2. Left on State Route 2.

From Cincinnati... 75 north to Lima area. US route 30 west to 65 north to Ottawa. Route 15 northwest out of Ottawa to Route 108 north through Napoleon. US 6 west (toward Chicago) to St. Rt. 66 north through Archbold. Right on State Route 2.
