This little building, formerly a summer kitchen, is now used to showcase a
special exhibit each year of one of many collections of our museum
artifacts. Our collections are so extensive that they cannot all be displayed in
the Museum building. This little "Hidden Treasures" building allows some
of those collections that would normally be stored away to be viewed and enjoyed
by all.
"CPS"... A Story of Service...
the 2007 season exhibit. This exhibit in the Hidden Treasures building shares
the story of Civilian Public Service. The CPS Program was created to give
Conscientious Objectors the opportunity to perform "work of national importance"
as an alternative to military service. This new exhibit explores the service
provided and preserves the stories of the men who served in CPS. This exhibit
will be available for viewing throughout the entire 2007 season.
